Hi! Good to be here. First thing’s first: How the heck does one pronounce “Skrzypek?!” Easier than you may think! The first syllable has a silent Z and rhymes with “sky;” the second half sounds just as it looks, like “peck.” Think Skrigh-peck and that’ll get you to Skrzypek. Or just Heidi works!

For much of 2025, I’ve been in the Windermere Vashon back office, soaking up contract nuances as as its real estate transaction manager. My entire career – more than 30 years – was spent in communications, largely copywriting, news reporting and digital strategy. AI has worked wonders in shelling out the need for human creatives, and me being the human algorithm, I’ve happily channeled my skills into a well-poised real estate career.

Just like those who are dreaming of making the leap to a Vashon Island home right now, 22 years ago, I was YOU! I raised my kids here. Was the ski bus mom and board member. Commuted for many years to my downtown office on the foot ferry. Later I took on remote content work and carved out cold-water routes to swim around every part of this beautiful island with a wonderful open water swim community. For the past eight years I’ve volunteer-engineered/hosted at our local KVSH community radio station. Our collaborative, caring and hyper-creative community makes it compelling and magnetic.

Helping people achieve their dreams of home ownership and relocation–from the WA Coast to the Cascades–is my greatest privilege. I have the tools, tenacity and backing of the West Coast’s premier real estate company to make buying and selling your next home seamless.
